Erma Deloris (Buckner) Allen, 73, passed away Aug. 30, 2012, at her home in Rockville surrounded by family and friends, at the age of 73.
She was born on April 18, 1939, in Bloomingrose, MO, to George W. and Addie Mae (Ellifrits) Buckner.
Erma married Richard W. Allen on Sept.10, 1960, where they resided in the Rockville area their entire life.
She enjoyed sewing, gardening, fishing, crafts, cooking, canning and spending time with children, grandchildren and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard; one son, Carl; her parents; one brother, James Buckner; and two sisters, Dorothy and Betty Buckner.
Erma is survived by five children – Richard W. Allen – Appleton City, Effie Fleischer and husband, Robert – Rich Hill, Sharon Kegler and Jeff Baker – El Dorado Springs, Deloris Hearting and Eddie – Appleton City; and Kathy Hedrick and David – El Dorado Springs; nine grandchildren and seven great -grandchildren. She is also survived by four brothers – Everett Buckner and wife, Mary Jane – Nevada, Freddie Buckner – Nevada, Raymond Buckner and wife, Mary – Sheldon, and Stanley Buckner and his wife, Linda – Lawrence, KS.
She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Services were held Tuesday, Sept. 4, in Sheldon Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs, with Bro. Sam Masten officiating. A eulogy and tribure were given by Harvey Woods.
Music was “Precious Memories,” “Go Rest High On That Mountain” and “Just Beyond The Moon.”
Casketbearers were James Fleischer, Anthony Watson, Thomas Fleischer, Lester Blankenship, Jeremy Sjeklocha and Cody Blankenship.
Honorary casketbearers were Samuel Allen, Kaleb Fleischer and Natausha Robison.
Interment was inTaberville Cemetery under direction of Sheldon Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs.
